You are heroes from disparate universes. Your mission is to stop a multiverse-level threat. Your bosses are not here for various reasons leaving you to manage this with a bunch of strangers.

Alternatively, you live in a big weird meshed up universe like in Adventure Time or Kingdom Hearts. Do whatever you like!
